About the course
The course will be held over 16 months with an hour presentation per month with Parts 1 – 3 being in November, December 2019 and January 2020 the remaining dates will be confirmed at a later stage.
Each month over the course of 60-minutes and 16 months will cover small grouped clauses which will be thoroughly worked through and discussed.
Course attendees will receive 0.1 ECSA CPD points.
Course content will cover:
- The practical application of the code with worked examples,
- Associated relevant codes,
- Common misconceptions,
- Regular misinterpreted clauses within the codes,
- Classification of buildings and the impact to the codes and design.
Course presenter:
Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) registered fire engineer Dave Knight from Albrecht Knight and Associates offering more than 50 years’ experience will be presenting all 16 courses assisted by relevant industry experts.

The event will take place at in KwaZulu-Natal at Aecom office in Umhlanga.
When:
The technical talk will be held on 20 November at 17:30. A live unrecorded webinar feed will be available to Cape Town or Johannesburg members.
